Jam Cyprus is a free community board run by Andreas, a musician in Nicosia. Contact: @andreas_.ge on Instagram.
- What is stored: the details on your card, and the email address you sign in with.
- Why: your card is public so musicians can find and contact you. Your email is used only to send sign-in codes. It is never shown on the board or shared.
- Your card is public, including the phone number and Instagram handle you add. Only add what you're happy for anyone to see.
- Young musicians: if you're under 18, ask a parent or guardian before posting a card. Under 14s need a parent's permission.
- Removing it: "Remove my card" deletes your card and your sign-in email straight away. If you ask for a code but never sign in, your email is deleted within 25 hours.
- Alerts: if you tick "Email me" on your card, we email you when someone who plays one of the instruments you're looking for posts a card. Untick it any time.
- Logs and backups: the server keeps technical logs, including IP addresses, for 7 days to stop abuse. Nightly backups are kept for 14 days, so removed data is gone from backups within 14 days.
- Your browser stores a sign-in token so you stay signed in. No ads, no tracking, no analytics.
- Where: the server is in Germany (Contabo). Sign-in emails are sent through Gmail (Google).
- You can ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be deleted, at the contact above. You can also complain to the Cyprus Commissioner for Personal Data Protection.
